A handy little sewing jar...and cotton spool!..

Hi Everyone,

I said I would be back with a post today...and here it is with a project I made yesterday to help me while sewing.
I didn't have a pin cushion so thought...why not make one!

I bought the jar from The Tiptree Cheap Shop in Tiptree (obviously!). I paid £1.97 (I think...don't take that as gospel!).
It had the buttons in it already and added the cotton spool to the side of the jar with a hot glue gun. It too became a pin cushion!..but with washi tape to add a bit of interest.

Hope you like this, if you have any questions please ask. I'll be back tomorrow with another post:).

Is it too early for reindeers or not?..

Hi guys,

I was looking through my 'to-be-decorated' project box and found six reindeer heads Grandad cut for me last Christmas (those words make me want to sing it!..WHAM!) but didn't get round to it. So I thought I'd make a reminder reindeer rather than Rudolph!

The base was Paperartsy Fresco paint Stone and the layers on top were a mixture of Mermaid, Bora Bora, Blue Oyster, China, Glass Blue and Smurf (la la  lalalala sing a happy song!).
The green ink was Olive Archival Ink and the eyes were Snowflake and Little Black dress PaperArtsy Fresco paints again.

Hope you like this and if you have any questions please ask. I'll be back tomorrow evening with another project!

A Troll lives here!..

Hi everyone,

Today I have been busy making a bird house fit for a troll! I wanted to do something with grunge paste to resemble moss so I made the roof and ledge of the mini bird house look like moss.

The colours I used for the moss were Hyde Park, Sage , Slate and Hey Pesto.
The grunge paste is also used to make the little boulders stuck to the base and ledge. I then splatted the house with watery Hyde Park.

If you have any questions about what I used then please ask.
Hope you like it,

Bows are addictive!..

Hi everyone,
Today I thought I'd share with you two more bows I made using the same technique but one is and inch smaller.
I love the blue one, the green really made it even better for me, the other was helped along by mum.

Mum chose the colour combination. They weren't the sort of colours I would have chosen but it turned out really well.

I hope you like these,

When in doubt...put a bow on it!..

Hi guys,

Today's project was a 'see how it turns out' kind of thing.
Yesturday I went to my Nana's and she told me about a video she watched on YouTube by Darcy at PaperArtsy and she showed me.

I found this video amazing and really wanted to have a go myself. So today I devoted my morning to bow making!
It turned out better than I expected and can't wait to make another!..Honestly, you have to try this!

Hope you like it and if you have any questions about what I used or how then please ask or have a look at Darcys YouTube channel:).

Happy first-day-of Spring...

Hi everyone,

I would like to wish you all a very happy first-day-of spring and hope it's bright and sunny.

I was looking through my stash of stamps for something to do and found the Darcy mini bird (EM 12) stamp.
To introduce Spring and Easter into your home I present to you this...

An Easter card I made with the mini bird, flower pot from JOFY mini 43, flower head from JOFY mini 34 with the top of the bird table used as the basket also from JOFY mini 43.

I hope you like this and if you have and questions then feel free to ask away.

Feltie Badge...

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted for a week or so. I was ill with a cold most of last week and a couple of days last week, but virtually back to normal now:).

You know how keen I am when it comes to badges...I thought I'd make a different one for a change. Out came the needle and thread and hey presto...and adorable (if I do say so myself!) lion feltie badge!

I mastered an new technique which I am very proud of...the French knot!

Hope you like this,

Another peg!..

Hi guys,

Today was 'fill the orders day' and my favourite out of the lot was this... Another giant peg that a lady from dads school asked for for her friends birthday.

The base was painted with smurf, the flowers (wisteria, lavender and lilac and the leaves guacamole. Of course there had to be snowflake for the detailed bits!

The flowers were a Lin Brown stencil (ELB 002), the leaves were also a Lin Brown stencil (ELB 005).

Hope you like this:),

Mini Broach Bottle Cap...

Hi guys,

Here is a little bottle cap I filled with loads of little things from my embellie box!.. I secured all the elements in with UTEE and glued a round badge back on with a hot glue gun.

These are great as a 'pinny filler' and you can fill them with whatever you want!

Watch this space for more 'bottle badges'.

Hope you like it,
