Time To Draw...

Hi guys,

I'm suprised I've posted TWICE today! I never do that!..well...here you go!

Post two...a wooden pencil case I recently found with 'lost things'.

I painted the whole thing in Chalk (PaparArtsy paint).

As the topic for the PaperArtsy challenge this time is 'Time' I thought it was quite appropriate that I'd focus on that theme.

To cover the top I covered it with a thin layer of Grunge Paste and stamped a PaperArtsy Hot Pick Script Stamp into it. When it had dried, I coloured it with various grunge pastes and then Grunge Pasted clocks using a stencil, then coloured that with Onyxite Treasure Gold.

This part is a Ellen Vargo sketchy stamp in Chocolate Pudding with Treasure Gold an an embellishment.

Hope you like it,

Timeless Sketch Book...

Hi everyone,

First of all...sorry if I've shown you this before...I can't remember if I have or not!

I made this a little while back now but forgot I had it until today when I was cleaning up 'my corner' of the conservatory and the little art cupboard in my room.
There it was...in with a pile of 'forgotten' things at the back of the cupboard.

It was just a simple blue and brown brayered background with a Gorgeous Girl stamped and painted in coordinating colours with a second face 3D mounted on foam pads.
The clock is a Tim Holtz die and clock stencil on the background in Chocolate Pudding (PaperArtsy fresco finish chalk acrylic paint).
And to finish, an Ellen Vargo PaperArtsy stamp printed onto the tag in Metalic Glaze.

The clock was coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

I hope you like this and if you have any questions then please don't hesitate to ask.

An Assortment From Amy...

Hi Everyone,

I said I'd show you all another fabulous drawing from Amy today, but she is treating you to two new ones and the finished Alien picture.

Amy is here sitting right next to me drawing one of her celebrity 'baes' while I blog.

You all saw this one in the early stages last time and Amy wanted me to post the finished thing as she is proud of it and so am I and the family.

This next picture is of a dinosaur...I have NO clue how to say this name! Post-office something! But I like just the same!

The final drawing is of Thoothless, Cloudjumper and Stormfly...three Dragons from How to train your dragon 2.

Here are all three pictures together

We hope you like them and if you've got any questions for Amy then please don't hesitate to ask.

Alien On A Page...

Hi guys,

I told you I'd be back soon!..this time with a make from my twin sister.

She really loves to draw and what she draws free-hand is incredible! All in proportion and exact!

So here's what she has drawn for you. An Alien from Alien! Drawn just from pictures (instead of getting scared watching the film)! No tracing involved! Amy is going to colour this but in case the colour scheme isn't quite right, she wanted me to post it before.

The detail in this is just...!!!

Amy and I hope you like this and I'm sure she'll be back here with another picture for you.
Until the next time...

Little Washing Line...

Hi Everyone,

I apologise for not blogging these past few weeks but my family was told some quite distressing news and I haven't felt arty because of it. However...today... I felt like making something!

Oh yeah...and...in the previous post I showed you a Harry Potter concertina book which I loved! Short story...One of our dogs ate it! She only left the bottle and envelope! #SadTimes!:(

Can any of you remember these?..

I was sorting out a box of lost things the other day in the hope of finding something I could re-create/upcycle.
I found one of these and set it aside not knowing what I'd do with it! As I had no clue what I'd do...I asked mum, dad and Amy. They came up with some great ideas which I combined to make this...

..A little washing line!

(Please excuse the messy mat) I ripped the bug out and filled the wholes with PaperArtsy Grunge Paste.
The base coat of the 'box' was Chalk and the top layer was Sage. Once the Sage had dried...I sanded it back slightly and finished it with Satin Glaze.

Onto a plain page from a book, I printed the sentiment stamp from Eclectica (Darcy) 10.

The washing line itself was just a length of black cotton on which little clothing items were stuck. Those clothes where just drawn onto squares of coloured card and cut out...with little pieces of wood stuck on to the corners to look like pegs.

The soil is just sand coloured with Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Stain. The grass is artificial moss bought from The Range.
The little spade is from JOFY mini 43 which was painted with Chocolate Pudding and Elephant then shrunk.

Hope you liked this and I'll be back soon with a special drawing from my twin sister Amy. If you have any questions about this make then please leave a comment and I'll get back to you.
