As a special little Easter treat I thought I'd share with you all a really tasty, easy recipe for little Rice Krispie cakes.
Makes 12-15
Ingredients:
225g plain or milk chocolate
50g butter
75g Rice Krispies
2 tbsp golden syrup
36+ mini eggs
Method:
2. Measure out and melt the chocolate, butter and golden syrup. Stir as it starts to melt. TIP- we melt chocolate in a slow cooker as it's much harder for it to burn.
3. Measure 75g of Rice Krispies and gently stir in to the melted chocolate, make sure all the cereal is covered.
4. Equally divide the mixture into the muffin cases. TIP- Use a medium size ice-cream scoop; it makes sure they are all identical in size.
5. To each 'cake' add three mini eggs to the top and press down. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour or until set.
This is a fool-proof recipe that is great for children or 'big-kids!'. Instead of Rice Krispies you can use Cornflakes.
I hope this inspires you to get baking and play about with chocolate!
I'm having a rest from blogging tomorrow but will be back on Monday.
Until then...Happy Easter folks:).
